Only about a month after my first Burn, as I kept noodling over what I could do to give back, it suddenly occurred to me that there was space to do something radically new with live entertainment.
What if we didn’t just bunch up in a line in front of a bunch of speakers and LED walls/lasers like we are so used to seeing?
What if we if took things back?
Way back. Old school. Like caveman dances around a bonfire type of old school. What if we designed a modern musical experience where people could come together to enjoy modern electronic (and other) music not just lined up front-to-back staring at the back of people’s heads, but in a circle where you can make eye contact, smile, connect with others naturally?
I fell in love with that idea.
The Fluffy Cloud is a patent-pending 60,000 watt sound spherical sound™ system system that completely envelopes guests with body-shaking sound capable of hitting frequencies 20% lower than anywhere else. This produces an intensely powerful sensation where sound is not just heard, it’s felt. But that’s only half of it. TFC also packs over 64,000 individually addressable LEDs hidden behind a hand-made layer of “fluff” that gives it its fluffy name. In 2025 I completely rebuilt it, adding new kinetic motion features (also patent-pending) which not only look awesome, but allow us to increase the effective power of the Cloud’s sound system by 2X+ mid-show!
